CunninLynguists, the American rap group from Lexington, was one of the hopeful groups during the years when Nas claimed that hip-hop was dead, ultimately ensuring that the genre could be revived. Deacon The Villain, Kno, and Natti delivered high-quality and thoughtful lyrics, with no theme being too ambitious. Additionally, Kno brought a fresh breeze to the genre with innovative productions.

From the beginning of the 21st century until 2014, they rapped together an impressive catalog. Their debut album 'Will Rap For Food', when the group still consisted only of Deacon The Villain and Kno, was a strong entry. For their second project 'SouthernUnderground', Mr. SOS was added as a third member. However, the rapper quickly left the group and was replaced by Natti. After that, the rappers delivered their ultimate masterpiece: 'A Piece of Strange' is still praised whenever underground rap is the topic of conversation.

During that time, the group toured with, among others, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and The Strokes. The album that followed, 'Dirty Acres', allowed the men to embark on a world tour.

Then followed three more great projects: 'Oneirology' and 'Strange Journey Vol One and Two'. But then it suddenly went quiet for about ten years.

We have heard that a new album is coming, and when we got the chance to have the rappers perform at De Centrale, we didn't hesitate for a moment.
