Together with various partners, De Centrale presents the second edition of YUSTE GENT FLAMENCO, a special Ghent Flamenco festival

From the Spanish Castle to the Monastery Palace of Yuste…

Flamenco has been part of Ghent's cultural fabric for many decades. Ghent occupies a very special place in Belgium in terms of both quantity and quality. With YUSTE GENT FLAMENCO, the organizers are aiming for an annual flamenco appointment for diehard aficionados/aficionadas and newly interested people. The second edition of YUSTE GENT FLAMENCO presents and combines local talent from Ghent and the surrounding area with internationally acclaimed Spanish artists. “Yuste” refers to the monastery palace in Cuacos de Yuste (in the Spanish province of Cáceres) where Emperor Charles spent his last years after his abdication.

Yuste is an initiative of Alexander Gavilan, De Centrale, Buren van de Abdij and La Barraca, in collaboration with Historische Huizen Gent, De Ingang, DKO Panta Rhei, vzw Tirando and GentsePassages. With the support of the Flemish Community, City of Ghent, Embassy of Spain in Belgium, Spanish Tourist Office & Klara.
