A phenomenal ethno-jazz trio with 3 of the biggest Bulgarian musicians of this moment: Peter Ralchev (accordion), Stoyan Yankoulov (percussion) and Angel Dimitrov (guitar). The trio presents a mix as we are used of more Bulgarian musicians. You can hear jazz, funk,…and folk music from ther Balkan. Ralchev and Yankoulov performed in De Centrale before, a.o. with the Zig Zag Trio.
Peter Ralchev is an amazing accordionist. His unique style is characterized by virtuosity, improvisation,… and above all subtility. He played together with quite a few Bulgarian top artists like Ivo Papasov, Theodosii Spassov en Yildiz Ibrahimova, but also with Belgian jazz musicianslike Stéphane Galland (AkaMoon).
Stoyan Yankoulov is the uncrowned king of the tapan – a Bulgarian drum- and an incredible drummer. He also shared the stage multiple times with the fine fleur of the Bulgarian music scene.
Angel Dimitrov started as tambura-player( a Bulgarian longneck lute, related to the bouzouki) to grow into one of the best ethno-jazz guitarists of his generation.
A unique trion on the stage of De Centrale and already one of the hightlights of our concert season.
