THE OLYMPICS

Imagine a Paradise …

Imagine a paradise where ordinary people like us comin’ together… We are one!
The Olympics is a new seven-piece band with frontman and actor Maarten Fabriçio Goffin (known from, among others, Spitsbroers, en  toen kwam ons Ma Binnen, Wolven).
The musicians merge with the audience and let themselves be seduced by the pure love of music during a sultry passionate night. The songs are a melting pot from Reggae, Dancehall, Dub, Afro, Dubstep, Ragga and Ska. But also Indiepop, Rock and Electronic music are subtly interwoven in layers into the songs.
In short, The Olympics is the perfect offshoot of world music but sounds more than ever in 2018. They call themselves Reggaelectric.
Whether the audience is young or old, white or black, wild or tame ... The Olympics get everyone dancing together. With an eccentric, stirring set, they make for a sparkling party, which will be long and warm in the hearts of the audience. Together we forget all our worries together and we create our own paradise for a very short time.
The Olympics set up a 'swirling' show last summer at Pole Pole during the Gentse feesten and at other summer festivals.
