Taher Shabab comes from Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan but has lived in Germany for quite some time. He started his musical career at a very young age. He became immensely popular with the song 'Baaz Ham Afghani Asti'.
His career got an extra boost when he came second in a (Japanese) singing competition. Since then he has recorded over 40 songs in Persian, Urdu and Pashto. And although he started his career in Persian/Dari, his greatest successes were in Pashto.
The singer is popular with young and old and a number of his recently released singles (Aazaasi, Zulf, Molaa, ...) can also be heard on Spotify in addition to the EP 'Hagha Zamong Kor', which was also released in 2022.
