Shakedown Tim

From down home to uptown: Way Up!

Sometimes the blues hits you deep, but it can also lift you ‘Way Up!’ Shakedown Tim brings down home blues and uptown boogie reminiscent of the 1940s and '50s, yet with a contemporary twist. Singer-guitarist Tim Ielegems is a familiar face in the blues world, co-founder of Fried Bourbon and frequently seen on stage with legends like Gene Taylor, James Harman, Willie Buck, Roland Van Campenhout, Steven De Bruyn, Jo’ Buddy, and Little Victor. Tim isn't just an exceptional guitarist and vocalist but also an entertainer who knows how to engage his audience effortlessly.

His band consists of seasoned musicians with a deep passion for old-school blues and jazz. The sound of a vintage fat body guitar, piano, tight rhythm section, and impassioned vocals creates a blend of low-down blues, happy blues, wild Memphis boogie, swing jazz, juke joint stomp, with occasional hints of gospel. This band speaks directly to your hips and your soul!

‘Get on the floor in twenty four’ to the sounds of Shakedown Tim's latest release ‘Way up!’. Ilias Scotch's intense blues piano, the blues grooves of Kurt Lens and Koen van Peteghem, and the almost-exploding 10-12 Watt Gibson EH 125 amplifier highlight this fiery Rhythm Revue.
