Niriis

Last summer, Wouter Vandenabeele (teacher violin in De Centrale and known from a.o. . Olla Vogala and the Ghent Folk Violin Project) met a few amazing musicians in the Greek town of Thessaloniki.  It clicked immediately and they started composing and performing right away. During their first concerts in Thessaloniki and Kavala (located between Thessaloniki en Alexandroupolis) they got quite some acclaim ánd felt like continuing.  So, now they are performing for the first time in Belgium (in Belsele, Brugge, Leuven en Gent).  Niriis brings music from Greece (dance music from the islands, rebètiko,...) and the rest of the Balkans, besides own compositions.
