Natacha Atlas  was born in  Schaarbeek( Brussels) on 20th of March 1964. The Belgian singer from English-Egypt origin has always tried to bring East and West closer together on a musical level. On an original way, she mixes Eastern music genres with varieté, chanson, jazz, pop, and rap. Early 90s she was a hit as the leadsinger of London’s ethno-fusion  collective Transglobal Underground.  After 4 albums she left The TGU to focus on her solo-career. There was even a brief reunion with her fellows from TGU for the soundtrack of the movie Whatever Lola Wants from the French-Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch. Her youngest solo- album Myriad Road  from 2015 was produced by the French- Lebanese Jazz musician Ibrahim Maalouf.
