Mr ID ft. STARS REGGADA

Abderrahman El Hafid aka Mr ID is a DJ from Casablanca (Morocco). Musically he was formed by his vinyls, his music and a mix of sounds from different instruments. In the background of his music we hear clear influences from Old School rap, jazz and funk. In this way he subtly mixes the magic of traditional Moroccan and African music into a new contemporary sound.
After a university course, he has traveled a long way as a resident in several renowned Moroccan music clubs. His career got an extra boost in 2006 with the creation of the group 'Feel the Vibe', an exceptional mix of a DJ with saxophone, violin and percussion. 'Feel the Vibe' did a whole list of national and international venues, festivals, concert halls and clubs.

This project is a unique collaboration between Mr ID and the Stars Reggada group from Oujda, or Mansour Bel Khyalat. Together they present an ecstatic combination of contemporary electronic music and traditional reggae music and dance from the Moroccan Rif Mountains.

STARS REGGADA
Reggada is a traditional Riffine warrior dance and music from Morocco. To celebrate a victory, the men would dance with their guns and play ecstatic songs on the Gaita and Bendir, fiercely stamping on the ground they conquered. This production includes the Stars Regadda, led by Mansour Bel Khyalat, with the most famous dancers and musicians in the genre.
