MÓLO SÂYAT + CHAPULINES

Mólo Sâyat

Mólo Sâyat is a mysterious name with multiple meanings and very important and absurd accents!
It’s the meeting of souls of a Lebanese singer and some European instrumentalists. Their repertoire has established its base camp around the Mediterranean sea without renouncing their sporadic visits deep inland. Led by an ear craving the beauty of contradictions, the band composes songs in Arabic, Italian and Romani language. Voices and instruments rise up together to invoke a chimeric and colourful folklore and to transport the listeners into a voluptuous inner-world.

Pôl Seif : vocals
Paul Gautier: guitar, oed
Anthony Dupriez: guitar, bouziti, flute
Olivier Faber: trumpet, violin
Frédéric Safin: double bass
Mathieu Najean: saxophones, clarinet
Alexis Van Doosselaere: drums, percussion

Chapulines

Son Jarocho lovers; acoustic and powerful. Traditional Mexican sounds with Caribbean dancing grooves.

The band was formed after a musical meeting between singer and jarana player Beto Robledo Zaragoza (MX) and violinist Graciela Zaera Moraña (ES). The group is completed with percussionist Antoon Kindekens (BE) and double bassist Dennis Nicles Cobas (CU).
