KARANDILA ORCHESTRA ft. Angel Tichaliev

The "unique" Bulgarian band ‘Karandila Orchestra’ goes on tour throughout Europe on the occasion of their twentieth birthday and accompanying brand new album.

The brain behind Karandila Orchestra is trumpeter Angel Tichaliev - at the same time founder, composer and conductor of the group. Following this special anniversary, he created an enchanting "new" repertoire. A repertoire based on his old ancestor's old gypsy melodies that were almost completely lost. The new arrangements are being made by a young and extraordinarily talented generation of musicians from Sliven in Bulgaria.

So expect the necessary vibrations and goosebumps moments when the eleven professional musicians learn from their traditional and modern gypsy rhythms and their often bittersweet music full of joy and tragedy.
