Jonas Meersmans trio

As a self-taught musician, Jonas Meersmans has developed his own personal instrumental language on the guitar over the years, floating between neoclassical layered compositions and psychedelic storytelling fingerpicking.

In the past, he released a two-part work featuring music for acoustic guitar, strings, and wind instruments, which was warmly received by the Belgian and Dutch press. Jonas has composed soundtracks for several short films and theater pieces, and in 2020, he wrote the opening track of a compilation album for guitar music on the American Tompkins Square label. Additionally, he is the guitarist for Stef Kamil Carlens & The Swoon and the Nicolas Mortelmans Quartet.

His new album 'Glassman', produced by Tim Vanhamel and released by WERF Records, is performed live with Gerben Brys on double bass and Michaël Lamiroy on violin and synths.
