charity concert met Sanghar Suhail & Sara Rasuli

Support Dental Mission Afghanistan !

Shakiban is a village 35 km from Herat (Western Afghanistan) located along the main road to Iran. 45,000 people live in the immediate vicinity. There is currently a small clinic where people can go for general (basic) medical care, obstetrics and pediatrics. There is no dental practice present and that is a big problem. On average there are 8 people a day who sign up with toothache. And then we do not speak of a sensitive tooth but of real toothache, often accompanied by abscesses and the like. The doctor can usually do something different than prescribe painkillers and antibiotics. That is why DMA (Dental Mission Afghanistan) - an initiative of the Ghent dentist Marc Jeannin - wants to develop a dental clinic in Shakiban. Marc has already traveled to Afghanistan 4 times to provide the University Training Center with material and to provide practical training for the students.
