ENTR

STEVEN DE BRUYN & ANNELIES VAN DINTER

Steven De bruyn invites …

Annelies Van Dinter (10/01/1986) is a in Antwerp residing songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist(bass, keys, guitar and drums) and at all levels autodidact. With her own project ‘Echo Beauty’, for which she cooperated these past few years with multi-instrumentalist and sound virtuoso Jochem Baelus, and in which she released two unanimously acclaimed records: Tidal Motions’ in 2013 en ‘Nonetheless’ in 2016.

Beside that, Annelies played and sang throughout the years with different projects. As singer and instrumentalist  at her 22nd she toured internationally for two years with Styrofoam. Furthermore she was a guest singer for Marble Sounds, Luc Van Acker, Birds That Change Colour, The Black Heart Rebellion and the past two years she did several smaller tours as a backing vocal and multi-instrumentalist  with Trixie Whitley. Her maneuverable voice leaves no one untouched  and as a guest musician she will always look for a complementary or even surprising interpretation, modest, but with lots of dedication. Annelies consciously took no musical training. She preferred a personal quest and always watched over the intuitive approach of writing and playing music.  Her learning school  were the collaborations with others, dealing creatively with technical limitations and life.

Steven De bruyn is a passionate Belgian harmonica player. Mid 90’s he started to perform first as companion of  blues singer Roland, with whom he would continue to cooperate the rest of his career. In 1996 De Bruyn founded the blues rock group El Fish , who won a ZAMUaward in 1998 for "best live-act", and (with Roland) in 2001 a prize in the category "best roots". After the disintegration of El Fish, he founded ,in 2003, the Rhythm Junks. In 2015 he founded the duo Stevo & Derek (of Derek & the Dirt).

Each month “neighbour” Steven De bruyn invites a musical soulmate,  he wants to get to know or met before ( and wants to meet again) for a musical encounter in ENTR. Passionate musicians and songwriters from all the corners of the world and washed up touring musicians on their day off.  Just like the open kitchen in ENTR takes your tastebuds on a journey to the world, there will be travelling with your eyes closed and your ears open.
