WILD BOAR & BULL Brass Band (WBBbb) + Tribes United (#EB)

De zevenkoppige hip hop - brassformatie « WILD BOAR & BULL Brass Band » werd in 2006 opgericht door « partners in brass crime » Sébastien Van Hoey (trombonist-componist) en Herbert « Herb Cells da mic jagga » Celis (mc).  Het septet beitelde zijn naam reeds in het geheugen van menig toeschouwer. Koppel de dramatische kracht van zwaar kopergeschut aan de onmiskenbare energie van de mc, ondersteund met een überstrakke ritmesectie, en je krijgt de energietank WBBbb.  De evidente inspiratiebronnen zijn Youngblood brass band, The Roots, The Herbaliser en US3, maar ook Eric Truffaz en Rage Against the Machine, zonder de golden hip hop era van de nineties te vergeten.

Een spontaan collectief van mc's uit verschillende generaties en plaatsen in België.  Op recente solo-producties werkten deze mc's (en nog veel meer) op elkaars tracks samen. Het wordt dus een unieke en speciale mix en blend van fat hiphop tracks, rhymes en soul van eigen bodem met Ipiki Ookami, Ozi One, J Double, Barbarossa, Saimn I & DJ Grazzhoppa on the decks.

The seven headed hip hop brass formation “ Wild Boar and Bull brass band” was founded in 2006 by “partners in brass crime” Sébastien Van Hoey( Trombone player – composer) and  Herbert « Herb Cells da mic jagga » Celis (mc).  The septet already carved its name in the memory of many viewers. Connect the dramatic force  of heavy artillery buyer to the undeniable energy of the MC, supported with an über tight rhythm section and you get the energy tank of WBBbb.
The obvious sources of inspiration are Youngblood brass band, The Roots, The Herbaliser and US3,but Eric Truffaz en Rage Against the Machine as well, without forgetting the golden hip hop era of the nineties.
